What is your value.....
It is human nature to prioritize based on value.
If you are in pursuit of a specific goal or a general lifestyle change and you are noticing it hard to stay on task or you find yourself giving up often and making excuses or justification for your inactions then you do not value it enough.
Or better yet, maybe you do. Maybe you do value it but you have other values that of which supersede the goals you are presently working towards or hoping to accomplish. Heart breaking…..I know (it’s hard for me to hear as well).
But truly it is okay. It is okay and quite frankly normal to place things you value in order of priority(it honestly wouldn’t make sense not to considering our hierarchy of needs). Navigating the “human experience” is ever so difficult and constantly changing and therefore we must adapt in order to survive. But, yes there is a but….you must acknowledge and accept that fact. There is nothing to gain from lying to yourself. In fact, you do yourself a major disservice by doing so. You essentially rob and potentially rid yourself the opportunity to grow mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc.
To simply put, if you truly want to create and live out your potential as a better version of yourself you must change the order in which you value what you want most. I.e if I want to be more fit I would need to place my health above or as close to my number #1 as possible. This is not something that can be negotiated.
“Change your perspective and you will change your life”
MAKE NO MISTAKE, it is not going to be easy. Truthfully when we are actively participating in change it will never be.
It is supposed to be difficult. When we seek to change we are going against are biological predisposition to create homeostasis(in other words comfortability). We do not like to do things that are difficult(who ever wants to be stressed out).
But won’t the experience be worth it?
But won’t the outcome be worth it?
You can either quit or keep going, either one is going to hurt. Might as well choose the pain that allows you to be happier in the end.
All in all Change is not out of the realm of possibility for you. You are no different. It can absolutely happen to you. You owe it to yourself.
I would like to leave you with this final thought,
If you aren’t currently working to become a better version of “you”
If not now…………when?
