Should you get a personal trainer?
Believe it or not, my answer may surprise you…
I do not believe that everyone needs a personal trainer per say in order for them to accomplish a more active, healthier, stronger lifestyle. Although, having one may make the process a bit more efficient in the process I do not think it is necessary for everyone.
Let’s keep it real, its 2021. Finding resources in regards to health and fitness are all around us, most of which being free.So if you haven’t at least tried to utilize some of these resources prior to seeking out a trainer you might be missing out on an experience(if you are willing to put in the time and effort). The caveat to that, is if you do not know where to even start and you’re having difficulty finding the information and putting it into practice having a trainer would be a great idea.
To simply put, if you are looking for a trainer for a “short-cut” or to hold you accountable you may need to shift your perspective. If you are looking to learn proper exercise technique, specific performance goals or you have medical conditions that may need special attention in pursuit of your fitness goals having a trainer would be the way to go. Either way, in order for you to progress you are going to need discipline, effort and patience on your journey.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that at any point this could change. Both approaches are worth experiencing to gain a multitude of perspectives to ultimately figure out what works best for you.
